Level Grade Separator at Ghazipur Intersection on NH-24 Bypass The length of the main flyover along NH – 24 is about 800m, which consists of 315m of stilted portion and remaining as closed portion (earth filled ramps). The total stilted portion consists of 2 modules per carriageway (four lanes each). The span arrangement of Module Type–1 for each of the two carriageways consists of 4 span continuous units with total length of 215m and that of Module Type–2 consists of 3 spans continuous unit with total length of 100m. Module Type–1 is to be constructed using Cast–in–situ Segmental Balanced Cantilever Construction Technology. Module type – 2 is to be constructed on ground supported staging. The structural system of sub-structure consists of plate type twin piers at all intermediate piers. The piers shall be made integral to the superstructure at all the locations except at expansion joint piers. Underpass at Ghazipur Intersection on NH-24 Bypass The project involved construction of a vehicular underpass of length 680m (approx.). The total diaphragm wall length involved in the project is around 750m which was designed for various excavation & construction stages anticipated to occur during construction. It also includes RCC base slab with tension piles and RCC voided slab at deck level integral with diaphragm wall in the closed portion of the underpass provided for traffic movement at ground level. |   |

Railway Under Bbridge at Railway Crossing No. 7 between Shalimar Bagh and Azadpur Fruit Mandi The project comprises construction of underpass using box pushing technique below railway track and rest of the portion to be constructed using diaphragm wall (D-Wall). The railway part within their ROW shall be got constructed by them and the portion that is outside the Railway Row shall be got constructed by PWD. Use of D-wall makes it possible to create a retaining wall with in the constrained space which is not possible in case of a conventional Retaining Wall. Similarly Box pushing makes it possible to create under-passage below live Railway Tracks. |

Presently there is a heavy traffic congestion at the Rotary near the Domestic Airport, Delhi, especially during the morning and evening peak hours. It was found that majorly of the congestion was due to the large traffic volume from Delhi & Gurgaon going to Dwarka. Hence, it was decided to make a one way underpass from Delhi (Dhaula Kuan) & Gurgaon to Dwarka, below the existing Rotary. A combination of Diaphragm Wall (D-Wall) and Retaining Wall is being made to find an optimum of construction time and cost and yet find a feasible construction. At certain places, underlying rock is comparatively shallow, though still below the base slab of the underpass. A specialized construction detailing has been prepared to tackle such locations. |
